Who we are and what Hue is

Hue is an internal software tool built and operated by Color Ecommerce. It manages Google Ads campaigns for Color Ecommerce’s own advertiser accounts, held under our own manager (MCC) account. Hue is not offered to third parties, has no external users, and no data handled by it is sold or shared outside Color Ecommerce.

Data accessed through the Google Ads API

Hue reads campaign structure, performance metrics (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions), search terms, and change history — exclusively for accounts owned by Color Ecommerce. Reads run on a fixed hourly schedule, never on page load. Hue does not access data belonging to any other advertiser.

Storage and security

Data retrieved through the API is stored in a self-hosted PostgreSQL database operated by Color Ecommerce and is accessible only to named members of our in-house team. OAuth refresh tokens and API credentials are stored encrypted and are never exposed to end users, logs, or third parties.

Retention

Reporting data is retained for as long as it is useful for optimization history and audit purposes, and is deleted when the underlying advertiser account is removed from the tool. Every change Hue makes to an account is logged with its reasoning and before/after state, and this audit trail is retained for accountability.

Sharing

None. Hue does not sell, rent, or share Google Ads data with any third party. Data is processed by our own infrastructure and by the AI reasoning service (Anthropic Claude) strictly to generate optimization analysis for our own accounts, under our agreements with that provider.
